New weather record on Saturday makes it three in a row

Saturday is officially the warmest March 8 on record, after the temperature topped 16.5° at the De Bilt weather station near Utrecht at around 11.20 am.
Saturday’s new high means there have been three weather records in a row. Both March 6 and March 7 set led to new records in De Bilt, where all official records are set.
Temperatures are higher in other parts of the country and are expected to top 20° in the south. The regional record is currently 18.9° and was set in Maastricht, also in 2014.
Weeronline said the March 8 record is likely to end up even higher because the temperature will rise well into the afternoon.
Sunday too may break records but the warm sunny weather will end next week, when the temperature will plunge to as low as 8° with possible night frosts.
