This week is expected to be chilly, with night frosts and daytime temperatures reaching no higher than 5°, according to weather bureau Weeronline.
However, it will feel colder due to the easterly wind, and there could be rain, sleet, or even snow on Monday and Tuesday, Weeronline reported. Snow is most likely to fall on Monday night and in northern parts of the country.
As the week progresses, the weather will become drier, with a higher chance of sunshine. The wind will ease but remain easterly, continuing to bring night frosts.
According to KNMI’s long-range forecast, the dry, chilly weather is expected to persist well into the second half of the month. The KNMI has also issued a code yellow weather warning for Tuesday, because of the wintry weather.
