PSV Eindhoven beat Feyenoord of Rotterdam 2-0 with goals from Johan Bakayoko and Guus Til to progress into the semi-finals of this year’s KNVB Cup competition.

The defeat has put further pressure on Feyenoord coach Brian Prisk, with the Rotterdammers having now lost three games in eight days.

League leaders PSV join Heracles of Almelo, who beat Utrecht 2-0 on Tuesday, and Go Ahead Eagles from Deventer, who beat amateur side Noordwijk 3-1 on Wednesday evening, in the semi-finals.

The fourth semi-finalist will be decided on Thursday night, when AZ of Alkmaar, currently fourth in the Eredivisie, meet Quick Boys, the amateur side from Katwijk aan Zee who have already eliminated Heerenveen, Almere City, and Fortuna Sittard.

AZ earlier put Ajax out of the cup competition.

The draw for the semi-finals will be made on Friday.
