Chilly start to the week, rain later and the odd sunny spell
Weather forecasters are predicting a chilly first half of the week in the Netherlands, with temperatures hovering around zero, alongside mist and little, if any, sunshine.
The temperature will remain below 0° in eastern parts of the country on Monday, and there will be widespread but light frosts on Monday night.
Tuesday will remain grey and chilly, although it could reach up to 7° on the Wadden islands. Again the overnight temperatures will dip below zero.
By Wednesday, however, rain will move in from the southwest, and the temperatures will rise a little, and it will remain overcast and cloudy. There may be some sunshine by Thursday in coastal regions.
Weeronline’s long-range forecast sees temperatures rising to 8–11° by next weekend, which is unseasonably warm for the time of year. The weather will remain changeable, with showers and some sunny spells.
