A hologram of a sex worker murdered in Amsterdam’s red light district 15 years ago has produced dozens of tips about who killed her.

The city’s cold case police team said the hologram of 19-year-old Hungarian Bernadette “Betty” Szabó sitting behind a window jogged memories but has not yet resulted in the tip that will solve the case.

Szabó, who had just had a baby, died from multiple stab wounds in 2009. The computer simulation was on show at a house in the Korte Stromsteeg for a full week.

The police are “very happy” with the attention the case has attracted, including internationally,” a police spokesman told Het Parool.
