A sunny weekend with chilly nights ahead, rain next week

Saturday will start off chilly after a clear night, but it will be sunny all day with the temperature reaching 16° in the afternoon in the autumn sunshine.

Saturday night will be chilly again and it will be close to freezing point in the east and northeast of the country.

Sunday morning will be a mix of high cloud and sunny spells and by afternoon a spot of rain could fall in the south west. The temperature will reach around 15°, Weeronline said.

Next week the wind will shift to southerly and southwesterly, bringing warmer air and temperatures of up to 20°. But rain will become more likely, according to weather bureau KNMI.

The changeable weather is likely to continue well into October, according to the KNMI’s long-range forecast.
