A 31-year-old man from The Hague who called for an attack on a mosque on Telegram has been arrested on terrorism charges.

“I want so badly want to launch a genocidal attack on a busy mosque. But I don’t want to do it alone. And no one wants to join me,” the man wrote on the social media platform.

The man, a vlogger who goes by the name of Valentino, had already attracted attention last week when he posted a video of himself shouting abuse at a gay man in a  tram in The Hague. The victim has since reported the incident to police.

According to the AD the man is a known troublemaker who frequently accosts and threatens people while filming them.

Tram passenger Bart, whose confrontation with the vlogger was also recorded, has since been widely praised for his action, including by former justice minister Dilan Yesilgöz. “Be that guy. Literally standing up for someone else,” she said on X.
