Three drown after car goes off road into canal in Amersfoort
Three men lost their lives when their car left the road and ended up in a canal in the early hours of Monday morning.
Emergency services called to Stadsring in Amersfoort around 1.30am freed the victims aged 21, 25 and 27 from the submerged car but all three had already drowned.
It is unclear what caused the accident and police are calling for witnesses to come forward.
