The warm sunny weather is set to continue into September
The meteorological autumn begins next Sunday but there is no sign yet of autumnal weather, with temperatures between 20 and 24°, weather bureau Weeronline said on Monday.
This week will be warm with plenty of sunshine and the temperature could reach as high as 30° on Wednesday in some places, Weeronline said. There may also be showers in the southeast on Thursday and Friday.
But next weekend is set to be dry and sunny, and so is the following week, and it will be warmer than the seasonal average, Weeronline said. The KNMI weather bureau also sees a continuation of the warm weather well into next month.
Autumn begins astronomically on September 22 and a month after that, the clocks go back one hour and the Netherlands will revert to winter time.
