Four men arrested in Germany over asylum seeker’s death
Four men have been arrested in Germany in connection with the death of a 23-year-old Somali refugee in the centre of The Hague last month, the Telegraaf said on Tuesday.
The four, aged 19, 21 and 23, all live in Germany and the Dutch public prosecution service has asked for their extradition, the paper said.
The victim, named as Abdi Raage, lived in a refugee centre in Heerhugowaard in Noord-Holland province, and was attacked on the Plein next to the Dutch parliamentary complex on July 21. He died later in hospital.
According to the Telegraaf, an eyewitness told the police that Raage’s attackers had been speaking German.
