The Dutch cricket association KNCB has named uncapped 20-year-old Sussex batter Zach Lion-Cachet and handed a recall to Durham fast bowler Brandon Glover for the upcoming T20I tri-series against the USA and Canada at Kampong and Voorburg starting on Friday.

The squad also marks the return for wicketkeeper-batter Noah Croes, leg-spinner Shariz Ahmad and left-arm spinner Daniel Doram, who was set to travel for the T20 World Cup in the West Indies and USA in June but suffered a hand fracture during the tri-series at home against Ireland and Scotland preceding it.

Last year, Lion-Cachet became the first player to score a century in all three formats for his National County, Oxfordshire. A T20 hundred against Bedfordshire in May was followed by another against Herefordshire in the National Counties Trophy and a century in each innings against Devon in the Durant Cricket National Counties Championship.

On a rookie contract, Lion-Cachet is yet to make his T20 debut for Sussex but has featured in eight One Day Cup games across two seasons batting in the top middle-order.

The Dutch are coming off a table-topping 4-0 series sweep against the USA and Canada in the eight-team World Cricket League 2. The six-match T20I tri-series gets underway today with the Netherlands taking on Canada at Kampong and concludes on Wednesday August 28 at Voorburg. Entry is free to all games.
