A 25-year-old man who worked as a babysitter all over the country has been jailed for three years, to be followed by psychiatric prison, for sexually abusing a child in his care, as well as producing child porn and abusing animals.

Julian F, from Schagen in Noord-Holland had worked as a babysitter for at least 11 families around the country and advertised his services online via Marktplaats since 2019.

A second man, 38-year-old Marco H from nearby Alkmaar, was jailed for 1.5 years for his role in encouraging the abuse of the two-year-old child, by the court in Haarlem.

F was also accused of abusing a four-year-old in the same family and his 11-year-old nephew but was acquitted on those charges.

Neither man was in court for the verdict.

Dutch media said last year prosecutors had analysed 21,000 photographs and 3,000 videos with obscene material found on the man’s computer and phone, as well as 3,000 chats and animal pornography.
