Amsterdam fashion brand Scotch & Soda has been declared bankrupt for the second time, just a year after it was taken over and relaunched by New York-based Bluestar Alliance.

The company said logistical problems following the relaunch in 2023 and the resulting continued losses were behind the bankruptcy.

Scotch & Soda has 28 shops in the Netherlands and a payroll of 320. It also had 64 outlets in Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg and Austria

The company said in a press release that it is working on a relaunch together with Bluestar Alliance and the shops will remain open in the meantime.
