Dutch banks hit by technical issues for second time in four days
Customers at three Dutch banks were unable to access their accounts on Monday because of problems with their website and mobile apps.
SNS, ASN and RegioBank were unable to offer banking services from around 11.30am, website Allestoringen.nl, which monitors online outages reported.
The banks are subsidiaries of the Volksbank, which has around three million customers altogether through the trio of banks and mortgage provider BLG Wonen.
SNS posted a message on social media platform X on Monday apologising for the disruption. Just before 3pm it posted an update saying most customers were now back online, but warning that the app was running slow.

It is the second time in four days that the banking group’s customers have been affected by technical problems. On Friday the banking apps for all three banks were down for around three hours just after midday.
The Volksbank did not say what had caused the website and apps to go down.
