Double Dutch titles in European hockey championships
Dutch club teams have won both the women’s and men’s titles in this year’s European Hockey League competition – the field hockey equivalent of the Champions League.
Amsterdam club Pinoké took the men’s title with a 1-0 win over Utrecht side Kampong in Monday’s final. It is the first time in the club’s history that Pinoké has won the European title. The club also took the Dutch league title for the first time last season.
An Alexander Hendrickx goal is enough to see Pinoke beat SV Kampong in the EHL GRAND FINAL after a tense, tactical battle.

In the women’s event hockey club Amsterdam beat German club Mannheimer HC 2-1. They also won the European competition in 2022.
AH&BC Amsterdam are the new EHL Champions, as they held off a comeback from Mannheimer to lift the trophy on home turf.
