The KNMI weather bureau has issued a code orange weather warning for all provinces except Limburg in connection with storm Louis which is expected to make landfall at around 7pm tonight in Zeeland.

Heavy gusts around the IJsselmeer later on on Thursday night can reach speeds of 120 kph, and 100 kph inland and will be accompanied by thunderstorms in places.

The weather bureau warned the storm could topple trees and that people should be aware of the danger of flying debris.

The storm will peak at around 10pm, the KNMI said. The weather warning will remain in place until 1am.
