A private cosmetic surgery clinic in Utrecht was shot at on Sunday night, following a similar incident at a clinic in Rotterdam, police have confirmed.

Locals heard shots in the night and found bullet holes in the front door of the Drs. Samana cosmetic clinic at Gernbrandystraat the next morning, broadcaster RTV Utrecht said.

The shooting took place at around one o’clock in the morning, according to the police.

A similar incident took place at a clinic in Rotterdam at the weekend, reportedly belonging to the same chain.

The Rotterdam clinic had been the subject of a television programme which featured clients who said their treatments were botched.

One man suffered an infection after a buttock implant while a women felt she was pressured into getting a procedure. The clinic said in an official reaction it regretted both incidents.

The clinic has not commented on the latest shooting. No one was hurt in either incident.
