Bots buy up 6,200 Lowlands tickets, they’ll be sold again Feb 10
Some 6,200 tickets for this summer’s Lowlands festival were reserved online by bots when they went on sale on Saturday, the organisers said on social media.
The tickets for the August event have now been taken out of the system and will be put up for sale again to real people on February 10.
The bots aimed to “buy up tickets and sell them for a much higher price,” Lowlands said. All 65,000 tickets for the festival were sold out within 15 minutes and some were already been offered for sale online for up to €500 this weekend.
A ticket for this year’s festival costs €325, up from €300 last year and €250 in 2022. This year’s acts include The Sugababes, Goldband, Jungle By Night and Queens of the Stone Age
