A woman who aided the sexual abuse of her daughters from the age of nine has been jailed for 14 years, six months, by appeal court judges in Den Bosch.

Tanja D, 47, made the abuse by her partner and other men possible and without her it would not have happened, the court said. Her partner Pascal P committed suicide while in jail last year.

The oldest girl was also abused by other men at a Zeeland car park and in Belgian swingers clubs, the court was told.

The woman was earlier sentenced to 10 years in jail but appealed against the sentence. The public prosecution department had called for a 15 year jail term.
