Childminder arrested after baby fatally injured at nursery
A childminder has been arrested by police investigating the death of a one-year-old baby following an incident at a nursery in Noord-Brabant.
The infant was taken ill while in the care of the 45-year-old woman at the nursery run from her home in Alphen-Chaam in January 2022.
The child was taken to hospital but died two days later. Police did not say if it was a boy or girl.
The woman was arrested after a forensic investigation revealed that the child had died from “inflicted injuries”. She is expected to appear in court on Friday.
The nursery has since been closed.
