House prices continue to recover, and more deals are sealed
House prices are now virtually back at the level they were in November 2023, according to new figures from national statistics agency CBS.
Prices rose 0.5% in November when compared with October and are now just 0.9% down on a year ago, the CBS said. The figures reflect completed sales which have been included in the land registry.
House prices have now been rising slowly for six months in a row, taking the average to €421,284.
The number of completed transactions was also up 1% on the same period in 2022. In the first 11 months of this year, 15,248 homes have changed hands and that is still down 5% on last year, reflecting the continuing shortage of supply.
