Police have arrested a member and an ex-member of the anti-terrorism taskforce NCTV on suspicion of possessing and divulging classified information.

A 64-year-old man from Rotterdam was still part of the taskforce at the time of his arrest and also worked for the police. A 35-year-old woman from Gouda had left the service and had recently joined the police force. Both were arrested on October 26.

The public prosecution office has not given any information about the type of state secrets the two allegedly obtained and shared.

The two suspects will be kept in custody for the next 14 days and will only be allowed to speak with their lawyer as police continues their investigations, the public prosecution office said.
