Travelers who use the Rotterdam, Delft, and The Hague service will be faced with fewer trains and sometimes no trains at all for the next few weeks, Dutch railway company NS has warned.

Railway operator ProRail is carrying out work on the tracks and platforms from Monday to December 3. Travelers are also being warned that services may run from different platforms than they are used to.

Most disruption will be at weekends but there will be fewer trains between Rotterdam and The Hague Centraal on weekdays as well, the NS said.

NS says the work is necessary to deal with the growth in passenger numbers in the coming years, which will mean more trains using the tracks.
