Police in Noord-Holland are urgently looking for a young British man last seen by the Dijklander hospital in Hoorn shortly before midnight on Sunday.

Thomas Delafay, also known as Taiga Akabane, failed to enter the hospital building after being dropped off and has not been seen since. He is thought to be without his mobile phone, money or his passport.

His sister Holly told local media outlet Plymouth Live that he had suffered a psychotic breakdown and was having hallucinations when he vanished. The young man had distinctive purple hair and was wearing a black hoodie with white lettering, black trousers and black shoes.

Delafay is known to have travelled to the Netherlands on June 9 and disappeared two days later. He comes from Plymouth on the southern English coast.

Plymouth Live said Delafay had travelled to the Netherlands with his boyfriend Tom Novelle to visit a mutual friend.
