Dutch nationals advised to leave Russia
The Dutch foreign ministry is advising Dutch nationals to leave Russia while they can as Wagner mercenary army chief Yevgeny Prigozhin is reportedly leading a revolt against the Russian army from the military hub of Rostov-on-Don.
“You can still leave the country by air or over land, but the situation may change quickly,” the ministry warned.
Dutch prime minister Mark Rutte tweeted that there has been an emergency meeting of ministers and the secret services to discuss the situation in Russia. “We continue to monitor the situation closely,” he said.
Zojuist met ministers @WBHoekstra, @DefensieMin Kajsa Ollongren, @HankeBruinsSlot en de inlichtingen- en veiligheidsdiensten bijeengekomen om de ontwikkelingen in Rusland te bespreken. We blijven de situatie nauwgezet monitoren.

D66 foreign affairs spokesman Sjoerd Sjoerdsma said on Twitter: “A certainty amid uncertainties: with every day of infighting, Russia is increasing the chances of the Ukrainian counter-offensive”.
