After a wet week, the Netherlands is set for dry and sunny weather over the weekend, although there could be light showers on Sunday.

The KNMI weather bureau says Saturday will have sunny spells and temperatures up to 21 Celsius inland, but it will be cooler, at around 17 Celsius on the coast. Sunday could be slightly warmer, but the chance of rain goes up to 30%, the KNMI said.

Next week the temperature will drop again, to no more than 16 Celsius by the middle of the week, with plenty of cloud and the odd spell of rain.

The KNMI’s long-range forecast heading towards the end of May is for more of the same, but becoming slightly warmer.
