Michael van Gerwen makes darts history with Premier League win
Dutch darts player Michael van Gerwen has made darts history by winning the Premier League title for the seventh time.
Mighty Mike, as he is known in darts circles, beat Gerwyn Price 11-5 in the final to lift the trophy. The previous record holder was Phil Taylor, who has taken the title six times.
“It was going to happen at some point, and great that it was today,” Van Gerwen said after the game.

Van Gerwen has dominated this competition since winning his first title 10 years ago.
