Six English men arrested after fight on KLM flight from Manchester
Six British men were arrested on their arrival at Schiphol airport on Thursday after a fight broke out on board a KLM flight from England.
Crew on board the flight to the Dutch capital city had to step in to stop the brawl between two ‘unruly’ groups of passengers. One of the six on the flight from Manchester was slightly injured in the fight.
A film of the fight on Twitter shows KLM air crew attempting to break up the group, while passengers shout at the men to stop and to behave.
Dutch military police, who are in charge of airport security, say they have started an investigation but as yet have not said what will happen to the men.
On the Twitter thread, someone posting as Bart Jansen suggested that this kind of visitor is unwelcome in the Dutch capital.
These are the British tourists we have to endure in Amsterdam day in, day out. Guess how we feel about that as residents who are still trying to live there in the midst of this mayhem.
