Dutch entry S10 qualifies for Eurovision final with emotional performance
Some 2.2 million people in the Netherlands watched Dutch entry S10 qualify for Saturday’s Eurovision Song Contest final with her song De Diepte.
S10 was the last of the 10 finalists to be announced, and she said afterwards that the wait had been nerve wracking.
‘But it is May 10, I am called S10 and I was the 10th to be named,’ she said. ‘So I guess that is the way it was meant to be.’
Duncan Lawrence, who won the contest for the Netherlands in 2019, described S10’s performance as ‘absolutely wonderful’.
