Amsterdam’s new coalition will publish its plans on Wednesday
Amsterdam’s three biggest political parties have agreed to form a new city administration and will unveil their plans for the capital on Wednesday.
The PvdA, GroenLinks and D66 have been working on putting together a new coalition since the local elections in mid March.
The PvdA emerged as the surprise winner with nine seats in the March vote, followed by GroenLinks with eight and D66 with seven. All three worked together in the previous coalition, with the addition of the Socialists.
Last week, broadcaster NOS said that just over one third of the 333 local authority areas where an election was held have put together a new coalition.
