A second member of the Dutch Olympic squad in Tokyo has failed a coronavirus test and will now miss the games. Reshmie Oogink, due to compete in the taekwondo event, must now go into quarantine for 10 days.
On Monday it emerged that skateboarder Candy Jacobs had tested positive.
‘I’m speechless,’ Oogink was quoted as saying by broadcaster NOS. ‘I’ve done everything I could to get here, despite my serious knee injuries. And it ends like this. This is the end of my career.’
