Limburg and Zuid Holland experience most nuisance driving: CBS
People in Limburg and Zuid Holland experience the most nuisance from problem driving according to the CBS Dutch statistics office.
The most common issues reported to its 2019 road safety monitor were speeding, parking problems and aggressive behaviour.
Its survey, carried out among 135,000 Dutch people across the nation, suggested that road hogs were slightly more common in cities than in the countryside. People were more likely to complain about speeding outside the cities (78% compared with 70%), but aggression was more common in the urban environment (11% compared with 4%). Parking, unsurprisingly, was more of a nuisance in cities.
However, more than a quarter of respondents in Limburg had issues with drivers going too fast, and were also more likely to report aggressive behaviour in the traffic. Parking problems in the neighbourhood were the most common source of nuisance for those in Zuid-Holland, which people in Drenthe and Overijssel were the least likely to complain of traffic problems in general.
