So was that summer? Rain and cooler temperatures ahead
Wednesday will see the last of the warm, sunny weather for a few days at least and rain will cover much of the country on Thursday, the KNMI weather bureau said.
Cloud will move in on Wednesday night and Thursday morning in particular is likely to be wet in the north and north west. Temperatures will reach no higher than 14 Celsius on the Wadden Sea islands and 18 Celcius in the east and there may be more rain in the evening.
Friday and the weekend will see more of the same, although there maybe some sunshine at times.
The KNMI long range forecast says it will remain cooler, with sunny spells and showers, well into next week.
