A woman from the village of Niedorp in Noord-Holland province has made a surprise discovery in a long-forgotten jigsaw puzzle box – 530 orange ecstasy pills.

According to local policeman Bas Dirkmaat, the box was delivered to the woman’s home four years ago, but it was not addressed to her, her family or neighbours. After asking around, she put the box in her garage for safe-keeping, where it has remained since then.

She came across the box again while tidying up and set the Planes 2 puzzle aside for her grandchildren. She then discovered that there were more than jigsaw puzzle pieces inside.

Police are now trying to trace the source of the drugs.

4 jaar geleden kreeg schoonmoeder ( niet die van mij! ) een nieuwe puzzeldoos thuis bezorgd. Zelf had ze niets besteld en de afzender op de doos was onbekend. Na rondvragen bij familie, vrienden en buren de doos maar opgeborgen in de garage. Vandaag tijdens het opruimen de doos weer teruggevonden en voor de deur gezet voor de kleinkinderen.
