Skywatchers in the south best placed to view a super snow moon

People living in the south and south east of the Netherlands have the best chance of seeing Tuesday evening’s super moon, which will be the biggest full moon of the year, weather forecasters say.
The moon will be full at 16.53 this evening, and will reach its closest point to the earth three hours later, making it look abnormally large against the horizon.
This, the second super moon of 2019, is known as a snow moon because, according to folklore almanacs, snow is most likely in February.
In January there was a super blood moon, in which a super moon was combined with a total eclipse.
There many be some drizzle in western and northern parts of the Netherlands on Tuesday evening, making good views of the moon less likely. However, sky watchers will have another chance to view a super moon on March 19.
Then, however, the moon will be 6,482 kilometres further away from the earth than this month.
