Five men jailed for blowing up ATMs in Germany

Five men have been sentenced to jail terms of between five and seven years by a Dutch court for blowing up several ATMs in Germany in 2017.
The five were nicknamed the Audi gangĀ using Audis to make a quick getaway after they targeted ATMs just over the border in Germany.
The breakthrough came in August 2017 when police officers spotted an Audi driving at high speed down the A1 motorway. They gave chase and were able to arrest the two occupants, who were aged 26 and 29. DNA led to the other three suspects.
The court said the crimes had led to considerable social unrest and had caused serious damage.
