Police make more arrests in Grindr date attack case

Police investigating two attacks on gay men in Dordrecht at the beginning of this month have arrested four men ranging in age from 18 to 21 in connection with the incidents.

Two younger teenagers, aged 14 and 16, were arrested earlier.

The two men had both made appointments via the gay dating site Grindr. One was beaten up by a gang of youths who were apparently waiting for him when he turned up to meet his date. The second managed to get away and escaped injury.

Gay rights campaign group COC has urged people to always report such attacks to the police so that they can get a better picture of the size of the problem.
