The British sandwich company Pret A Manger is set to open its first Dutch venture at Utrecht central station next week, the Telegraaf said on Wednesday.

With annual sales of about €800m in 2016, Pret A Manger derives most of its revenue from Britain where it was founded by university students in 1986. But Pret is steadily expanding in Europe,  the US and the Middle East and now has more than 450 outlets in eight countries.

Pret a Manger serves only natural foods and organic coffee and is known for its innovative management style. Unsold food is given to the homeless.
