ING cancels speaker invite to Kevin Spacey after sexual abuse claims

The organisers of an ING-backed business event have withdrawn an invitation to American actor Kevin Spacey, who is at the centre of a sexual intimidation storm.
Spacey had been due to speak at the BusinessBoost event at the Ahoy arena in Rotterdam on November 29, alongside Dutch media tycoon John de Mol and Google’s Mo Gawdat.
The organisers said in a short statement that the House of Cards actor’s presence was ‘no longer desirable’ given the commotion surrounding the abuse allegations.
In addition, his presence would detract from the conference aim of inspiring entrepreneurs, the statement said.
