Dutch men make it a double with European hockey title
The Dutch men’s hockey team came back from being 0-2 down to win the European championships final against Belgium 4-2.
Mirco Pruijser, top goal scorer in the competition, put the final nail in Belgium’s coffin with 17 seconds still on the clock. The Dutch men were defending champions.
The men’s win on Sunday afternoon in Amsterdam makes it a Dutch double – the women won their title against Belgium 3-0 on Saturday.
England were third in both competitions and Germany fourth.
