Elite military police drafted in for Wilders’ security: Telegraaf
An elite team of military police officers have been added to Geert Wilders security detail, the Telegraaf said on Wednesday, quoting confidential sources.
The paper says members of a team set up to protect ministers and other high profile figures during visits to dangerous locations such as Iraq and Afghanistan have been drafted in following revelations about security leaks.
Wilders cancelled a walkabout in Volendam after the NRC reported one of his protection detail had leaked information. The police office in question, Faris A, is said to have talked about his job to several friends.
Prime minister Mark Rutte has stressed that Wilders was not in any danger because of the leaks.
