Willem-Alexander meets the duchess of Cambridge on first solo trip
Britain’s duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, carried out her first solo trip abroad on Tuesday with a visit to the Netherlands.
Kate, 34, made a courtesy call to King Willem-Alexander before heading to the Mauritshuis museum to check out a new exhibition featuring 22 works by Dutch artists on loan from the British royal collection.
The duchess met the king at his private home in Wassenaar.
She will later will travel to Rotterdam to learn about a community initiative that provides a public workshop in an economically deprived part of the city, the Daily Mail said.
