Eindhoven man in balaclava arrested for suspected terrorism
A 22-year-old man has been arrested in Eindhoven on suspicion of planning a terrorist attack, the public prosecution department said.
The man was picked up after he was spotted driving through the city wearing a balaclava helmet. A search of his home revealed ‘IS propaganda’ which was confiscated by police. They also took an external hard drive, a knife, tie wraps and the balaclava. There were no arms or explosives,
The man has been remanded in custody for two weeks while police continue their investigation.
