Dutch children’s film wins international Emmy
Dutch family drama Rabarber (Rhubarb) has been awarded the International Kids’ Emmy for best tv movie or miniseries.
The film was one of four Dutch productions nominated for an award and was produced for public broadcaster KRO-NCRV.
Rabarber is about two youngsters whose parents fall in love and create a new family. Winnie and Siem get along well but are worried that their parents are fighting more and more. So they decide to make them a film with tips for a good relationship.
It is the second year in a row that the Netherlands has won the best tv movie International Emmy. Last year the prize went to Alles Mag (Everything is allowed).
