Customs officials at Eindhoven Airport have discovered €70,000 in cash stuffed into two bottles of body milk.

The FIOD, the fraud investigations arm of the Dutch taxman, reported the find on Monday.

Customs found the bottles last week in the wheely bag of a Spanish passenger coming from Milan. They contained not a drop of moisturising lotion, but instead €500 notes, carefully wrapped in cling film. A later search of the passenger turned up another €5,000.

The man was arrested and transferred to the FIOD, suspected of money laundering. He was released after interrogation and has waived the right to have his cash returned.

It is not known why the man was visiting the Netherlands.
