Businessman found dead at home, police are investigating
Police are investigating the death of a businessman who made his fortune from the travel industry after his body was found at his family home in Bilthoven.
Koen Everink hit the headlines in 20112 when he was beaten up by kick boxer Badr Hari during the Sensation dance event in Amsterdam. Hari was sentenced to two years in jail for this and other attacks. Everink was said to have been still suffering from the effects of the beating.
According to the Telegraaf, Everink had felt threatened and employed private security guards. The paper also said his seven-year-old daughter had been led away from the house in tears, after her father’s body was found.
As yet is is unclear how he died or if it was a robbery gone wrong, the paper said.
