Peeping Tom jailed for six years for seven sexual assaults
A 39-year-old man from Nijmegen has been jailed for six years by judges in Arnhem for sexually assaulting seven young women.
Kas van R, who has previous convictions for spying on female students, committed the offences between November 2012 and October 2014.
Most of the victims were attacked by Van R, who claimed to have a gun, as they returned home after an evening out. In some cases, the women were forced to withdraw cash from an ATM for him.
Van R has not been sentenced to compulsory treatment in a psychiatric prison even though the court considers there to be a serious risk he will re-offend. He had refused to cooperate with a psychiatric assessment, so cannot be given compulsory treatment, news agency ANP says.
