Insurance companies should use clearer language: report
Insurers should be much clearer in the conditions attached to their policies, according to new research by the insurance sector organisation VvV.
In particular, insurance companies should make it much more obvious exactly what is covered by policies, the research showed. In total one in three of those interviewed for the report said this is essential.
In addition, almost 30% think insurance companies should use language which is easier to understand.
In total, some 56% of the 1,022 people questioned said they are generally positive about the sector, compared with 51% in 2010. However, in 2004, 80% of consumers said they were positive about insurance companies, news agency ANP points out.
