Bankruptcy looms for shoe stores Manfield, Dolcis, Invito
The official receivers winding up the bankrupt retail group Macintosh have now applied for its shoe chains Manfield, Dolcis, Pro Sport and Invito to be declared bankrupt as well.
The shops will remain open while work continues on finding a buyer for all or some of the companies.
The company said in a short statement that a number of potential buyers have come forward and that all options are being considered.
Macintosh, which booked a net loss of €102m in 2014, was declared bankrupt on December 30. The company has a total workforce of over 10,400, many of whom are in part-time jobs.
Dutch budget shoe shop Schoenenreus went bankrupt at the beginning of this year.
