Leiden student gets community service for shooting threat
A student who used an internet forum to threaten to carry out a mass shooting at Leiden University campus has been given 180 hours community service, 60 suspended.
The 21-year-old has been ruled unfit to plead by psychiatrists and is currently being treated for psychosis, news agency ANP says.
The university was placed under police surveillance for several hours on October 7 last year after the threats were made. The student was arrested when police traced his IP address.
